I am a physician and recently moved Boulder, Colorado after living in Hawaii (Kauai) for 15 years. I discovered your sunscreen while living in Hawaii and feel there isn’t a comparable product on the market. I haven’t been able to find it in Colorado. Is there a retailer in my community? “I recently picked up some Slopes SPF 35 sunscreen in Colorado USA whilst over there ski instructing. It was the one that was specific to the slopes (which obviously have the same problem as being out on the ocean!) & lasts for 8 hours. I have found that this is the only sunscreen that really protects me. As my team and I are doing the Sydney to Hobart Yacht race (Australia), I wanted to urgently get my hands on some more stuff for myself and the team. Can you please advise- I would really appreciate a response!”

Pat Vacationing in Maui
Kerry, I just discovered your product line while vacationing in Maui; The Wailea Beach Villas made #44 available to guests poolside and again at the beach walk entrance. Usually I avoid the sun as much as possible since I burn very easily even with #55 sun block. However, the SolRx #44 kept me from burning and I enjoyed my sun-time as did all my family members. Thanks for a product that really is effective.

Long Time Extended UVA User
I am a long time txtended UVA user in Galapagos & Macchu Picchu. Thanks, Steve, for your quick response and explanation. I’ll order the Rubber Ducky for now and probably get some zinc sunscreen for my face to use when I am going to be really exposing it to the sun (like at horse shows when I am outside for hours). You have always been so responsive and I tell everyone about the quality of your products. My husband and I just returned from a trip to Machu Picchu and the Galapagos Islands. We used the Parsol 1789 SPF 44 and neither of us had any sunburn. Some of our tour group used something else or even went without and ended up with noticeable burns. I’m a fan.

Vacationing from Cape Town
Hello Steve and Lisha, I had purchased the Solrx spray sunscreen from a bike shop on a trip to Cape Town, but as I live in London I don’t get back there often. Your product is by far the best I’ve used, especially for my face. I’ve just returned from 2 weeks in the Caribbean sun with a nice tan and NO burning - and also no sunscreen break-out issues either. And that was with many hours of tennis in the full sun and loads of sweat. :-) So my dilemma is that now I need to find more. Do you have any retailers in the UK? I saw on your web site that you did a custom label job for the UK market - I am not bothered about what the brand name says, as long as it is your Solrx spray at heart! Thank you for any assistance that you can provide.

SolRx In the French Riviera
Steve, We are a boat that is based around the French Riviera. One of our deck hands used the Solrx product on a previous boat and loved it. I am waiting to find out if you have store in the area that we may be able to purchase it from, alternatively the time frame and costs of getting it shipped to us by yourselves.
We are looking at SolRx Spray Dry SPF35 and the SolRx Lip Ice SPF 30 at this stage. We would probably buy 2 cases of both. Thank you and I look forward to your reply.

SolRx Use by Cycling Team
Thanks for the great news about 2009 support! We are in Belize Central America right now (83 degrees). We have been here since Monday and will leave on Monday the 5th. We had a 100 mile road race yesterday from the Mexico boarder (Corizal) to Belize City...very hot tropical weather. Lori (one of my female riders) WON the women’s race, while our men’s team place 2 riders in the top 10. We have been able to get in 3-4 hour rides each day training due to the hot weather. The Solrx 35 spf spray has been a life saver down here. We all have been using it daily and it is working great. I have been spraying a light coat on my face and it did not even bother me due to sweating yesterday in the road race. I missed a small area on my forearm and it got toasted, everything else was great. Thanks again for your support. Once we get back in the states I will contact you.

SolRx Pro Sport SPF 44
Lisha and Steve,
Just wanted to let you both know that the SolRx Pro Sport 44 works like CRAZY! We have Jaguar season tickets and the last two games have been brutally hot. Two weeks ago it was 94 degrees and Sunday it was 88 degrees. Bright sun both days.
Eddie and I both used the Pro Sport 44 on both days and have gotten no burns at all. And we both sweated like crazy being baked like we were in the sun for 5 hours straight in the roughest part of the day (11 - 4). The product never came off and we did not get burned or even red at all.
I am letting everyone know about it ....

SolRx Pro Sport SPF 44
I have used your product for the past 8 - 10 years after never having been able to find a sunblock that actually worked on my light sensitive skin. I love this product and purchased a new 6 oz. plastic bottle every year from The Maui Dive shop. I used it sparingly. We live in Vancouver, B.C. Canada and I have never had any success finding it here. We have just returned from Maui and I looked in every MD shop. They were sold out. Could you please let me know if the product is available and if so where?

SolRx Block & Tackle
I am a full time outfitter, either fishing or hunting 12 months out of the year and in south Texas, the sun can be brutal and it is imperative that I have reliable sunblock protection. For years, I used ”Brand X” and I was fairly content with its performance. That is, until I tried SolRx Block & Tackle Sunblock. There is absolutely no comparison. Block & Tackle is the most effective waterproof sunblock I have ever used. When I am fishing, I don’t have time to continually reapply sunscreen and with Block & Tackle, I don’t have to. Another huge plus is the fact that I can use it and put my hands in the live well with no worries about losing any of my bait, because Block & Tackle does not harm the fish like so many other sunblocks do. As anyone knows who hunts Texas in the winter months, protection from the sun in the winter is just as important as it is during the summer. When I am hunting, I don’t have to worry about a greasy film on my firearms. Block & Tackle is a ”must have” for anyone who enjoys being outdoors. I hope to see it offered in more retail stores so my customers will quit trying to take my supply home!

Sunscreen Hoarding
I hate to admit it, but I won’t let anyone use my sunscreen unless I really feel badly for them. I’m a nice person most of the time, so I tell everyone to get SolRx ProSport and your other formulas. I just don’t want them using mine. It’s like GOLD to me! I was almost fatalistic when Saurus disappeared, and I wasn’t sure where the original formula went. Friends in Kailua Kona swore that SolRx Iron Man Sunscreen was the formula and it was. Then I found you guys via SolRx Pro Sport. Thank God! People don’t understand my sunscreen obsession until they try it themselves. Hence, why I have to hide my sunscreen. *PS: I was given 3 different sunscreens for my baby. All 3 of them irritated her eyes or came off in the water! Even those made for babies!! Of course, I put my SolRx Pro-Sport on her and she has been happy ever since. Now I stock-up on the 32 oz pumps.

Good Things to Say...
It feels good to hear good things about what you buy and sell; especially when you know it’s true. I use a brand called SolRx ProSport that I originally found in a Hawaiian surf shop. I love it so much that I found it online and now order it by the case. It is not greasy and it pretty much lasts all day. It also does not run into the eyes. It also says it’s suitable for children 6 months and over and for people with sensitive skin. (I have very sensitive skin and sunburn very easily, but not with this stuff). I started using it on my daughter after Baby Banana Boat did run into her eyes. For what its worth, the Ironman Triathalon also uses it as it’s sunscreen of choice. I normally don’t sound like a commercial about skincare products or other products for that matter, but I have had a lot of success with this stuff. Ironman Waterblock
We LOVE the Ironman waterblock. Our family of 7 used it when we were at the water park, and not one of us got burned all day long! It is FABULOUS!!! We have run out and need more. What the name is that is the same as the iron man! Thanks for making such a great product!

Vacationing in Hawaii
I just would like to take the opportunity to tell you that your product is the best I have ever come across. While in Hawaii my husband and I went on a snorkeling boat and I forgot my Sun Block...being blonde and very fair skinned I still burn with most other products, but the Captain of the boat gave me the SolRx sunblock and told me to try it out and I couldn’t believe it but I didn’t burn AT ALL!!! I also went to the store there to buy some but didn’t tell the worker what I wanted but instead asked them to show me the very best sun block they have and they took me over the the SolRx products ... I will not go out in the sun now with out wearing it because I KNOW it works.. Thank you for such a great line of products its hard to come by a product that lives up to what it says it will do but yours does.. A life long customer.

Steve, Thanks for your informative reply. In my small dive store I pride myself in providing customers with quality in both service and product. Every now and again a product appears that is just so much better than other brands. Solrx SPF44 sunscreen is in this category. In fact I say to my customers ”if you are not satisfied with it or it hasn’t done the things it claims (I have printed a flyer using info off your web site, and I give one to everyone that comes in) then I will give you your money back”. No one has taken me up on the offer yet.

Touring Egypt
I just spent 10 days touring Egypt and used your SPF 44 religiously every morning. It was amazing. Everything you said was true. I was outside several hours each day and, as you can imagine, the sun was intense the entire time, from Alexandria on the Mediterranean Sea to Abu Simbel near the Sudan. The sunscreen blocked EVERYTHING. I didn’t have to use nearly as much as I did with drugstore brands, and I didn’t smell like a pina colada. I hope your business thrives, because I never want to be without.

Triathlete for SolRx Products

What a coincidence. Just yesterday I was surfing with a brunette from South Africa who has been living out here for two years. I only got back in tonight. I am an Ironman triathlete and yesterday in particular was a long day. First, I spent about four hours cycling on the coastline, then stayed on the beach mostly in the surf for another three continuous hours. At many times during the ride while I crawled up the hills with the sun on me I could feel the burn. Then in the water, at times I once again felt that I was burning.
When I finally got back to the cottage and took off my top I was amazed, not even a shadow where my sleeveless tri-suit ended! That’s not all, I spent about three hours in the blazing sun out on another beach on Saturday preparing for a long distance open water swim and today, five hours running and surfing again out in a blazing sun. I’m a little browner than last week but absolutely no sunburn!!! My trick is to use the spray first, then after it dries to apply the cream.
